Let the counseling begin!

While we were home over Christmas break, Seth and I met with his old youth pastor and mentor throughout high school. We are getting married at my church and will have an officiant from there, but Jordan is the one that knows us best and will assist in our ceremony. Jordan sets up his pre-marital counseling by having 4-5 sessions about a month apart, ending with the 6th session as the wedding. We are really excited about this and met with him for the first time. It was great! We were able to catch up with him and worked on laying the foundation for a healthy, Christ-centered marriage. He gave us several "homework" assignments, including applying for our marriage license, memorizing scripture together, and working through several passages in the Bible that focus on God's design for marriage. We are already looking forward to next month's session!
