Measurements and Sizes:
We don't go back to the pediatrician until 9 months, so these are my unofficial measurements. I'm typically just a bit off.
Sara Beth:
Weight - 15 lb 14 oz
Length - 27.5 in
Head - 17 in
Seth:
Weight - 22 lb 8 oz
Length - 29.5 in
Head -18.5 in
Sara Beth is wearing a good mix of 3-6 month and 6-9 month clothing. Her waist is so tiny but her legs are long, so she usually wears 3-6 month pants that are cropped on her. She's so trendy :) She wears size 2 diapers during the day and size 3 diapers at night.
Seth is now wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes. We are slowing filtering the 6-9 months out of his closet. He started wearing size 4 diapers on December 28 because the size 3 just weren't absorbent enough. Henow wears size 5 at night. He really looks like such a big boy these days.
Sleeping and Eating:
We have started adjusting to fewer naps during the day. They each take 2 fairly long naps (an hour or an hour and a half) each day and then usually take one shorter nap (20 or 30 minutes) in the evening. Sometimes they skip this one, but we go to bed earlier on those days. They have adjusted pretty well, although it has definitely changed things around here. It's fun to have them awake and playing so much more.
This month we have introduced squash, green beans, and bananas to them. Seth also got to eat yogurt because he had a tummy ache for several days and the nurse said he needed to replenish the bacteria in his stomach. They each take 4-5 bottles per day with 6-7 ounces per bottle. Most days, they eat 2 meals, one mid-morning and the other mid-evening. I have been making our own baby food and freeze it in ice cube trays, so they usually split 5-6 cubes for a meal (which is like 2-3 ounces per baby). They love to eat and have gotten so much better at it, although they would still rather lay back in their boppys to eat rather than sit up.
Firsts This Month:
For foods, they had squash for the first time on December 20, green beans on December 26, bananas on January 6, and yogurt for Seth on January 12. A big event in our lives for the babies was on December 15 when we had their baby dedication at church and devoted ourselves to raising them to love and serve the Lord. They found their feet around December 16 and have loved grabbing them ever since. They had their first Christmas on December 25 (obviously) which was so much fun. They went on December 27 for their six month shots and cried the entire time we were there. Our big boy started sitting up on his own without assistance (although still a bit wobbly) on December 29 and sister followed him a few days later on January 2. On January 11, we took them to my parents' house for their first vacation at Granna and Grandpa Dean's house while we went to Perdido Key, Florida with some friends for 4 days! We had a great time and the babies did as well. On January 13, Seth's top two middle teeth came in, giving him 4 teeth total!

Mommy's Notes:
The two of you are too much fun! It's crazy how fast the days go by now. Even through teething and snotty noses, you two know how to make me smile like no one else. You both still do so much better when we are out of the house than you do when we are stuck inside all day, so these cold days have been some long ones. I am so blessed, though, to be able to stay home with the two of you to watch all of your developments. You seem to grow so much each day. Your daddy and I love you both more than you can ever know!
