I haven't done such a great job lately of updating on our little ones. They are 33 weeks and 3 days as of today... completely insane. Having been dilated for a month now with regular, frequent contractions and to still be pregnant is truly a miracle. My doctors have no explanation... I know it is thanks to all of the prayers and that it is just a part of God's plan for our little ones. We had an ultrasound last Thursday, and they looked great! They are running out of room and are sitting very low. We got some great 3D pictures of our little girl, but she had her head in front of her brother's face, so we couldn't get any of him. Here are their stats from last week:
Seth Ryan:
Heart Rate: 133 bpm
Estimated Weight: 4 pounds, 7 Ounces
Gestational Age: 34 weeks, 4 days (the position of his head kinda messed up his estimate)
Sara Elizabeth:
Heart Rate: 134 bpm
Estimated Weight: 3 pounds, 14 Ounces
Gestational Age: 31 weeks, 5 days
We could see her open her eyes and yawn while we were watching the 3D ultrasound! It was just about the coolest thing ever. The tech said she could also tell whether or not they have hair. He appeared to have more than she did, but I just thought it was so neat that she could even tell!
We finally discussed the plan with my doctor for what happens from here if I stay pregnant. He said today that at 36 weeks we will start trying to induce labor naturally by having me walk around a lot and do some other things that will hopefully get it to start on its own. If that doesn't happen, then we will either schedule an induction or a c-section for sometime between 37-38 weeks. If they make it to 36 weeks, they will likely not need any NICU time! It is so amazing that we have made it this far!
