This is my first post as Mrs. Jewell!! We are back from our honeymoon and are starting to get back connected with life! Seth is back at work, I have been catching up with friends by the pool and on the phone, and I have spent a lot of time running errands and paying bills. It will take me awhile to update you on all of our recent events, but get excited... the pictures are coming!
We left Memphis at 4:15am on Sunday morning after our wedding, so it took quite some time to recover from our lack of sleep! We spent a wonderful 8 days in St. Lucia and had such a blast together! Here is our "photo album" from the week.
dinner our first night in St. Lucia... how exhausted do we look here?
our second night after a wonderful day of relaxation on the beach
at the St. Lucian BBQ enjoying drinks out of coconuts
some locals fishing
We went zip-lining through the rain forest on our third day. It was awesome!
dinner that night
We took a catamaran to Martinique, a French island north of St. Lucia, on our fourth day.
dinner at an Italian restaurant that night
We took a different sailboat to Soufriere, a southern city in St. Lucia, on our fifth day.
We went through the Sulfur Springs, the Caribbean's only active volcano.

We toured the Botanic Gardens and saw lots of neat wildlife. This beautiful flower was called the Wax Rose.

We saw the famous Diamond Waterfall, where I'm pretty sure Bachelor Jake made out with several of his girls. :)
We had lunch at a local restaurant that overlooked the city and the famous Piton mountains (in the background).
back at the resort that night before dinner
We met an artist, Jean-Baptiste, who paints only on silk, and we purchased this gorgeous piece for our new house! It is absolutely stunning in person!

We did nothing but relax in a cabana on our sixth and seventh days. It was fabulous.
We had lunch at our favorite pizza place...
...and enjoyed lots of yummy drinks in the pool.
Oh, we also took out a small hobie cat on Saturday so Seth could spend more time sailing on the water.
our last night on the beach
This was our amazing butler, Malaika! She was so helpful throughout our entire vacation.
breakfast on our last morning, looking much more tanned and relaxed
Our driver stopped on the way to the airport to take our picture overlooking the fishing villages.
We had such an amazing time on our honeymoon, and we couldn't have asked for a better week! We came back nice and relaxed, and it was the perfect way to begin our marriage. We are loving every minute of it! Seth is working on updating our blog layout because we are no longer "Tying the Knot"! :) Keep checking back... wedding pics to be posted soon!
