Groomsman Spotlight: Trey

My brother Trey is one of my best friends. I have so many great memories with him. Some of my earliest memories involved me jumping on the bed and being knocked off my feet by a nerf-ball uppercut on the way down. That may sound painful to you, but I was hanging with my big brother and did not care.

Trey is 8 years older than me. You would think that being so far apart in age we wouldn't be close. This could not be further from the truth. We have always been close, even when we were young. Trey kinda looked after me. I always wanted to be like him, and I wanted nothing more than to hang with him and his friends. As a matter of fact, once when I was 8 years old I asked Trey when I could do so. This was back in the mid 90's so you can imagine that Trey and his friends were the coolest kids on the block. He told me that when I was his age we could all hang out. From that time on I counted down the years until I was sixteen.

Since that time, Trey and I have continued to grow closer. I love every minute I get to spend with him. When we are together it is like we never were apart. We pick up right where we left off. He is a great big brother that has always show me love and support. I hope I am able to show him the same love and encouragement he has always shown me. I owe my love of the University of Memphis Tigers Basketball in large part to Trey. We have tried to make it a point to attend a Memphis game every year. We have not always been able to do so, but the times we do go are always a blast. Trey is a die hard fan, probably the biggest fan you will meet. And I'm not far behind him.

Not only is Trey a great brother, but he is also a great dad. Trey has three kids: Brittany, Triston, and Bailey. They are all beautiful nieces and nephews that I couldn't imagine my life without. I wish I could portray in words how great he is with them, but I can't. You will just have to trust me.

Below are a few pictures of my awesome bro (you will notice a lot of Memphis Tigers apparel):
Mom and Trey. See the resemblance?
Trey and his whole family. Bailey I think was on the way.

Sorry that there aren't many photos. I couldn't find many digital copies other than these recent pictures.

Trey, thank you for being the best big brother I could ask for. You have always been there for me in everything I have done. Your love and support means the world to me. I cannot thank you enough for all you do for me. I am honored that you will be standing next to me when Chelsea and I get married. I love you man.
- Seth
