Update on Chelsea

She is home!! After harassing (whoops) several doctors for several hours, they finally let her leave! The hospital seemed to be only making her worse by giving her new issues (like bad medicine reactions and IV problems), and I knew she could recover much faster in her comfortable bed at home. They released her late yesterday afternoon with the same treatment they were giving her in the hospital but in pill form. She got a much better night's rest last night, as you can imagine without nurses waking her up every hour to see "how she was sleeping" and to take her vitals. She had been hooked up to an IV all week and a heart monitor, which made sleeping difficult, so I know she loved being able to sleep "unplugged" from everything.

She has a follow-up appointment with the neurologist early next week and is continuing treatment from home as she rests and tries to get rid of the pain and dizziness. She is taking it easy and working on recovering. After ruling out "serious" illnesses, they finally settled with her having a series of complex migraines that caused the strange symptoms. She will be meeting with the neurologist several times in the future to work on (hopefully) preventing this from ever occurring again. It has been scary for all of us and miserable for Chelsea.

Thank you all SO MUCH for your love, prayers, support, encouragement, phone calls, texts, emails, etc. If we didn't respond, please forgive us for the craziness that has consumed our lives the past week. But please know that EVERY message was sooo appreciated. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
